Book Clubs for Every Age!

Fall is here, and so is our line-up of children's book clubs. If one of our clubs—see our list, below— would be of interest to your child, just stop by the children's reference desk to pick up the latest selection (on a first-come, first-served basis).

BOOK BUDDIES (for kids in K-grade 1). This club is for emerging readers.
Participants will read a monthly book selection independently or with help.
Meetings include book discussion, games and activities. Our meetings for the
fall 2010 (October-December) season will be held on the third Monday of the
month in the evening, and on the third Wednesday of the month in the
afternoon. Families must commit to either the afternoon or the evening
session for the entire season.

Meeting Schedule:

Mondays: October 18, November 15, and December 20, 2010 at 6:30PM

Wednesdays: October 20, November 17, December 22, 2010 at 4 PM


KIDS' ADVENTURE BOOK CLUB (for kids in grades 2 and 3). This club is for
independent readers. Kids will read a high-interest adventure title each
month and, at meetings, participate in lively book discussion and
activities. Occasionally, special guests will visit our group. Our meetings
for the fall 2010 season (October-December) will be held on the first
Wednesday evening of the month at 7PM.

Meeting Schedule:
Wednesdays: October 6, November 3, December 1, 2010 at 7PM


FOURTH GRADE FANATICS (for kids in grade 4). This club is for confident
readers who would like to participate in fun book discussion and activities.
Our meetings for the fall 2010 season (October-December) will be held on the
first Monday evening of the month at 7PM

Mondays: October 4, November 1, December 6, 2010 at 7PM

Stop by the Mt. Lebanon Library Children's Department to pick up your selected book. The kids really enjoy our book clubs!
