Battle of the Books 2009 Pictures!

We've wrapped up another successful year for Battle of the Books!

Congratulations to all of the participants! Everyone did a great job of reading and writing.

The final whistle is blowing!

Don't forget to get into the library to finish up your Summer Reading Club requirements! SRC ENDS this Friday, August 7th.

All books must be logged into your personalized online log page (via www.mtlebanonlibrary.org)
You also need to stop by the library and check-in with a librarian.
All before the library closes at 5pm on Friday, 8/7.

Don't pass up the chance to stamp the mural, get your book bucks, and take home a cool book and coupons!

Tuesdays are TERRIFIC @ the Mt. Lebanon Public Library!

Kids entering grades 1 - 5 are invited to our Terrific Tuesdays! Fun, hour-long programs @ 1:30 every Tuesday through July.

June 30—What's cooking?Hey, who's cooking? We are! Have fun exploring the culinary arts today with food science, food fun, food facts, food stories, and- of course- food to eat! Yummy!

July 7– Kids dig polkaDance on over to the library today and join Uncle Mike and his Polka Band and their super strumming banjo player for an ethnic extravaganza!It's a Polish Party all afternoon!
July 14– Jazz & jiveJazz musician Jim Farquar hits the library scene this afternoon to share some cool info about musical instruments. Next we'll lay down some tracks and record our very own jazz CD right here at the library! Be a cool cat & be here!
July 21—Louis ArmstrongIt's a wonderful world when actor Greg Kinney visits the library today as Satchmo– the famous Louis Armstrong. You won't get the Blues today, but you will get the "Heebie Jeebies" when you share the life of this famous trumpet player, scat singer, and jazz legend.
July 28—Paper pandemonium Paper folding, paper science, paper tricks, paper airplanes, paper trivia—it's newspapers, it's old papers, it's paper pandemonium!!
